In July 2023, I spoke on a panel as a climate scientist with my fellow panelists in policy and industry to talk about "Space for Climate Action", hosted by Space Generation Advisory Council (SGAC)'s Space Generation Advocacy and Policy Platform, the U.S. Task Force. Together, we covered topics such as applications of satellites for environmental monitoring, Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG), spatial finance and tracking assets from space, and shaping policy for climate action.
Webinar description: SGAC recently released a report titled "Saving Our Future on Earth Through Our Presence in Space," which details SGAC's policy position on the role of space in climate action. To support this effort, we are hosting a webinar on climate change, environment, and space. Speakers will discuss their work in using space applications in climate monitoring and research and the intersection of space and sustainability. During the webinar, panelists will share their ideas and expertise on environmental issues, and engage with our audience through a Q&A session.

About the SGAC Space Generation Advocacy and Policy Platform (SGAPP)
As part of SGAC’s mission to represent the young space generation, the U.S. Task Force brings together students and young space professionals to communicate our vision of a sustainable, fair, and cooperative future in space to the U.S. policy community. We produce blogs, educational material, and facilitate discussions with experts to encourage broad involvement in policy.
